Creative Counsel, a New York-based organization that connects the arts & entertainment world to causes that matter, and The Fledgling Fund will present 1000 Voices, a significant national video archive of 1000 short videos capturing the stories of one thousand Americans that demonstrate the values that are important to them. This curated archive of 1000 stories launches on the web in January 2008. It will show that Americans share values that can unite us as a community, and that we have more in common than what sets us apart. We are looking for edited or re-edited footage by experienced documentarians from their existing works to fit the parameters of our project and be branded as 1000 Voices pieces. The Instructor will teach at least one accredited core content Anchorage School District Language Arts class (Mass Media) for 20 AN/AI high school students, and will also provide one-on-one as well as group instruction media instruction to the after-school component of the MEDIAK program. The Instructor will help coordinate and participate in special MEDIAK events and extra-curricular activities.
